Salary: £50K - £65K per annum, according to experience and qualifications.

Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week with some unsocial hours when required.

Location: Based in Bournemouth area with travel across the region when necessary.

Holiday: 6.6 weeks holiday allowance including bank holidays.

YMCA Bournemouth are looking for a dynamic and approachable Head of Finance who will join them in enabling and growing this broad, passionate and historic Christian charity into its new season of growth and development; reaching more people than ever before, bringing the light of hope to those that need support and extending joy and peace into the places we live and serve.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this position sits at the heart of YMCA Bournemouth and will provide a pivotal lead on all aspects of the finance management of the organisation; including the implementation of strategy into finance, leading the character and culture of the finance team according to Christian values, line management of the finance team and support to all budget leads and heads of departments.

About the Role

This senior leadership position at the heart of YMCA Bournemouth will provide a pivotal lead on all aspects of financial planning, controls, efficiency, income generation and compliance; ensuring that the Association remains safe and secure to deliver its strategic objectives, whilst stimulating its financial development, growth and financial viability across all present and future aspects of the Association.

You must be a Qualified Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent nationally recognised Financial qualification with proven experience in managing management accounting functions. The right candidate will bring strong communication and clear leadership experience. Previous experience operating in the social housing sector is not essential however you must have an empathy with the sector and experience of working in a regulated environment is preferred. This is a genuine opportunity for an individual to be more involved in the strategic running of a business and to broaden their experience and skill set.
