Hays Senior Finance are recruiting on behalf of their exclusive client, a new Charity who are setting up their Head Office in Dundee for a Head of Finance, initially on a temporary basis with a view to go permanent. Salary is £44,990 to £48,290 depending on experience + 37 days annual leave and the real opportunity for career growth into a Finance Director role.
Your new role
A new Charity, already with a turnover of £2 million will be setting up their head office in Dundee within the next 12 months. They are looking for a Head of Finance to join them on a temporary to permanent basis, working from home, with 1 day a week in Edinburgh until the office premises in Dundee are open. Then you will be based full time in Dundee. You will manage a small team of direct employees, create strategic and long-term business planning forecasts in partnership with the CEO/Management team. You will monitor cash flows and future trends, manage financial accounting and develop external relationships. You will manage the audit process , have an overview of payroll and provide financial information for grant funding and business development proposals. You will also complete project reviews and cost-reduction opportunities. This is a newly created role where you will report into the Chief Executive and be given the autonomy to make the position your own.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Qualified Chartered Accountant, ideally with experience within the 3rd Sector / Public Sector. You will have experience within a Finance position of authority and have managed or supervised staff.
