My client, a global professional services firm, is looking to hire a commercially focused Head of Finance to head up a growing area their business. The Head of Finance will provide commercial and strategic support to the leadership team of the business including the Partners, Directors and other key heads of department.
The Head of Finance role is a standalone position i.e. their are no direct reports. However, it will have a great deal of support from a wide range of indirect reports. The core financial information, data and accounting is produced by a dedicated team. The role of the Head of Finance will therefore predominantly be as a Business Partner. The HoF will be expected to delve into the financials to build a strong understanding of the key business drivers, to work with the business leaders to implement relevant KPIs and to support the Partners and Directors with growth initiatives.
This is a highly commercial role and a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to accelerate their career. The specific division this individual will be leading is growing rapidly on a global scale so this individual will be involved in setting up overseas entities and building out the processes that will underpin future growth.
The ideal candidate will come from an ACA qualified background (Big Four ideally) with significant post qualified experience in commercial finance and leadership roles. Although this role doesn't directly manage individuals, it is tasked with leading a high profile division and therefore leadership experience is still important. Experience within the Professional Services sector is essential. Therefore individuals who have worked within the Legal, Management Consulting, Outsourcing or other B2B industries will be prioritised.
