Reporting to a dynamic and ambitious Finance Director, you will provide comprehensive analysis across the business, driving improvements in all aspects of financial reporting. You will initially manage 2 bright and eager to learn Assistants Accountants, however over the next 12 months the number of reports that you oversee will dramatically increase.
A snapshot of your initial responsibilities will include the following:-
-Develop robust systems support in providing intelligent financial information to the business
-Ensure all profit/cost centres adhere to set financial policies, providing data in an accurate manner
-Short and long term planning with the FD, ensuring robust forecasts are in place and a budget process is established and adhered to
-Carry out internal audits to ensure reporting procedures are robust
-Champion best practice within your team, developing and mentoring people at a fast pace, identifying any problems areas and rectifying it quickly
-Regular travel across the country to different sites to recognise any changes that need to be implemented
-Ensure capex projects are controlled and closed out correctly
-Support the FD in any future M&A or business changes
-Continuously seek to add value, improve efficiency and reduce wastage adopting lean principles
The ideal candidate will be a very ambitious individual with strong leadership skills. You must not be afraid of those difficult conversations surrounding people management and will therefore be extremely thick skinned. You will be ideally ACA qualified with a strong technical background however other profiles will be considered.
Prior experience of data visualisation tools and techniques would be an advantage.
