This company can boast prestigious clients such as BP, Barclays, Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse and many more. They have just expanded and opened a new office in Manchester enabling them to get more national coverage and in 5 years look to double in size.
Duties will include:
-Managing a team of 8 transactional staff
-Support Senior Management with queries and reporting of financials – UK GAAP
-Management Accounts & Balance Sheet Accounts
-Prepare Budgets & Forecasts
-Cashflow management and capex expenditure.
-Set processes and procedures in financial reporting and keep Management informed
-Point of contact for PAYE/HR queries regarding employed staff and contractors
-Review of company Year End accounts for auditors
-Provide support for other company requirements – insurances, bonus reviews, CIS reporting, leases, VBD contracts, VAT
-Finance/Admin staff reviews
-Make sure the company manages its external reporting requirements.
-Support senior management deal with business changes including New Data Protection Act (GDPR) and the effects on Personal/financial data.
Reorganisation of department in wake of company expansion & company merger (sister company) and keep reviewing going forward for company growth
Review of existing system to implement new robust software to make reporting quicker – Costings, Estimate Logs, Timesheets
-Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
-Experience with SAGE line 50 is essential
-Engineering/Construction section experience is preferred but not essential
-Experience managing a minimum of 5 staff
