Head of Edinburgh

HRC Recruitment is on an exciting growth trajectory which has included the opening of a second office in Edinburgh and the successful re-brand of our 23-year-old business from HR Consultancy. Our current growth, both geographically and into new market sectors, has been extremely exciting for our current employees and to reinforce this positivity and ambition we are seeking an exceptional leader to become our Head of HRC Recruitment Edinburgh.

About the role

There has never been a better time to join HRC Recruitment and in this position, you will drive yourself and the business forward and become a core part of our management structure. You will focus on driving forward our established sectors and have a fundamental impact on the development of our Professions and IT sectors in Edinburgh as well as taking the lead to build new areas of sales generation in the East Coast. In addition to this, you will;

  • Lead, develop and inspire your team of Recruitment Consultants
  • Recruit new talent into your office
  • Deliver and report on PL, activity and sales against target for your office
  • Design, implement and drive sales initiatives and activity
  • Identify and create sales opportunities within existing clients and new prospects
  • Effectively performance manage your team to ensure they deliver their target and display the appropriate behaviours of HRC employees
  • Ensure that your team is trained to perform at the best of their ability
  • Create and implement business development strategy for the Edinburgh sales function
  • Develop the EVP for the branch
  • Promote the businesses brand effectively, ensuring your team is compliant with our positioning needs
About you

  • Education to degree level
  • Significant experience within a Recruitment or related Industry
  • Extensive experience managing large teams, excelling in sales, and participating in business development initiatives
  • Sound business knowledge of Edinburgh and the surrounding area based on extensive Networking experience
  • Experience of Financial Services and IT would be extremely useful
  • Strong project management, negotiation and market research skills
  • A proven track record of achievement in the management and development of staff
  • Strong interpersonal skills, an ability to eloquently convey complex ideas, and a strong commercial instinct for business
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A strong personality and be skilled at impressing clients, satisfying customers, and keep large multi-dimensional teams working together in the most efficient ways possible
  • Ability to use office software tools (especially the Microsoft Office Suite) and have a keen eye for detail
  • The ability to work in a high-pressure role where deadlines and bottom lines are the measure of success and heavy burdens of responsibility are the norm
