The Company Nigel Wright is delighted to be partnering with Home Group in their search for a Head of Data. You will lead the development and delivery of Home Group's data strategy, ensuring their data is well-managed, trusted and used to drive decisions across the organisation. This will be a strategic leadership role which will involve working with technical teams but sitting outside of IS delivery, focusing on value, governance and making an impact across the group.
The Role Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Data Architect, Reporting team and Head of Performance and Insights to align strategy, share insight and deliver joined up outcomes
Help to build a culture where insight is used to improve services and outcomes
Ensure the data supports transparency, fairness and trust and policies remain up to date and are understood by those who need them
Close alignment with IS to make sure the solution delivers real value, while maintaining clear boundaries from technical delivery
The Requirements This is an outstanding opportunity for the right person to improve data decision making and strategy for a brilliant organisation. Key requirements include:
Proven experience driving and delivering a data strategy and leading data governance initiatives
Develop strategies in collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation, turn them into clear plans and deliver change effectively.
Innovative thinker who won't be constrained by previous ways of doing things, but seek to do things more effectively and efficiently
Familiarity with data governance platforms and data cataloguing tools
Project management and business improvement approaches such as Scrum, Agile, Lean and Six Sigma would be desirable
