Description

The Head of Communications will be responsible for the below duties:

  • Steer the communications function, leading, developing and managing the a team
  • Determine strategies to raise awareness and bring attention to the charity
  • Set out an appropriate supporter journey for the differing supporter of the charity whilst managing and promoting the development of regular giving
  • liaise with internal international representatives to manage all aspects of communications associated with the charity
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all aspects of communication and the appropriate reporting as required

For the Head of Communications role, the desired skills set would be as below:

  • Achievement orientated- ability to set challenging targets and overcome obstacles
  • Strategic thinking- demonstrating functional expertise, a pro-active approach, creativity and leadership skills

  • An ability to identify a good PR story and to deliver it to the public
