Early learning & childcare in North Lanarkshire is going through a period of transformation change. By 2020 funded placements will almost double to 1140 hours a year, for all three and four year olds and eligible two year olds.

We are now recruiting for the pivotal role of Head of Centre, Bellshill Family Learning Centre which is one of 16 Family Learning Centres across the local authority area. The service is registered for children aged 2-5 years and operates 48 weeks per year, from 8am to 6pm.  Extended provision is available for parents/carers in addition to the statutory entitlement. 

The successful applicant should have considerable knowledge and experience in working in a managerial and leadership role, whilst having extensive experiences of leading early years practitioners in working with children aged 2 to 5 years.

You must hold either a BA in Childhood Practice or an equivalent childcare degree is essential.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role
