Fantastic opportunity to join internationally renowned high street fashion retailer as their Head of Buying Menswear to set and execute strategy at a time of change.

As Head of Buying Menswear you will work closely with the Head of Design to set and own the strategy for the division, creating a clear vision for the team to follow, ensuring consistency of product across each range.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Range & Assortment Planning
You will be responsible for translating the strategic plan into an operational plan at all levels with continuous adjustment according to commercial developments.
Working closely with the QA department to identify reliable partners and create an optimal portfolio. Responsibility for reviewing profitability of current supplier base, identifying new partners and undertaking sourcing trips. as well as attendance of annual and in season review meetings with all suppliers.
Negotiation and Contracting
Negotiate with suppliers on price, quality and delivery conditions and ensure the commitment of these agreements in contracts at optimum conditions to maximise margin growth within set targets.
Keeping on top of market trends in the market and assessing developments, researching alternative suppliers, conducting store visits and accumulating competitor data.
Providing new product concepts and ideas to the Marketing and Visual Merchandising department to contribute to improving product and marketplace competitiveness.
Management of a sizeable team ensuring qualitative and quantitative staffing with high levels of coaching and leadership provided to those directly and indirectly accountable for.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in leading buying teams with a clear passion for product - especially in menswear! You will be able to instil high levels of energy and direction in to your teams, coaching and mentoring at all times, motivating employees to ensure margin and turnover are achieved. We seek someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to roll their sleeves up and execute a clear plan in a fast paced environment during times of change!
