Head of Business Development / Sales Manager - Global Publishing Firm

Sales Manager / Head of Business Development. Salary £45k Basic + Uncapped Commission OTE £90k + Benefits including: Pension Scheme, Private Health Insurance and Subsidised Gym Membership.

Our client is part of a major PLC with offices throughout the world and is one of the world’s leading B 2 B Publishing Firms.

Due to major growth plans our client is looking to recruit for a Sales Manager / Head of Business Development in the city to lead the growth of their & Tax Publishing portfolio. This role will work on directories, thought leadership and advertising sales globally.

This is a dual split between managing 1 other Sales Executive whilst also selling yourself and carrying an individual sales target. Clients will be across EMEA and will include Tax & Consulting Firms (including the big 4) and other firms within Professional Services.

There is a healthy account base to grow and develop and our client is also looking for someone who can lead from the front and bring new clients on board.

The role has fantastic scope for growth and development and we would be open to candidates who have a track record in sales who are looking for their 1st Sales Management role and likewise from existing Sales Managers who see this as an attractive opportunity. There will be some international travel as part of the role.

About You

You should have a track record of meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets from within Media Sales, Publishing or Events / Sponsorship Sales and be excellent at presenting to and selling to senior level lawyers and executives. A track record of successful selling, strong communication skills and exceptional organisational ability are a must.
