We are looking to recruit an exceptional individual who will make a significant impact to leading the further development of the Board’s system of corporate governance and administration functions.

As the new Head of Board Administration & Corporate Governance, you will manage a broad range of services, operating in a complex and political environment. The post holder will have a central role supporting to NHS GGC’s Chief Executive and Board Chair t which includes the handling of elected representative’s communications, Ministerial briefings and Parliamentary Questions being responsible for the provision of the board Secretariat Service, managing complaints, legal claims and freedom of information requests and the executive administrative and PA support as well as supporting the implementation of the board’s Whistleblowing arrangements.

You will be an influential player capable of operating at the most senior level within the organisation and will work closely with the Board Chair, Chief Executive, individual Board Members and the Executive Leadership team providing independent expert advice and information on a wide range of matters in relation to public sector legislation/regulation, corporate governance and NHS Policy, procedures and legislation.

The successful candidate will require a knowledge regarding complex regulation and bring extensive experience of operating and leading at scale through a capable and experienced senior team.

This is a rare and high profile opportunity which requires resilience, political acumen, strategic vision, tactical skills, and above all, leadership that will impact internally and externally to the organisation. It would be advantageous if your leadership skills have been gained in a health or social care organisation or within another public or private sector customer facing organisation.
