Head Chef

An excellent opportunity for a Head Chef who is currently looking for a work/life balance. This role is based just outside of Bristol

Client Details

Our client is a market leading contract caterer

Description

The Head Chef will be responsible for;

  • Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
  • Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
  • Approve dishes before they reach the customer
  • Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
  • Arrange for repairs when necessary
  • Remedy any problems or defects
  • Oversee the work of kitchen staff
  • Maintain records of payroll and attendance
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Assist the site manager in hiring additional and replacement chefs

Profile

The successful candidate will have experience in the hospitality and catering industry as well as;

  • Proven experience as head chef
  • Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
  • Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills
  • Credentials in health and safety training
  • City & Guilds 706/1 and 2

Job Offer

A salary of £20,000 is on offer to the successful candidate for a 40 hour week
