Head Chef Village Pub & Restaurant
This family run village pub and restaurant has an immediate vacancy for a competent Head Chef. Menus are a blend of the pub classics, daily specials and bar snacks with a traditional roast on Sundays. As much as possible is made in house with the accent on fresh, seasonal and local produce. There is plenty of scope for new ideas.
As Head Chef you will be working mainly alone, with help at busy times, and will be responsible and accountable for:
- All food production, ordering, stock management & wastage
- Compliance with statutory regulations & legislation.
- Kitchen budget and GP
- Food safety & hygiene
We are looking for an enthusiastic all round professional chef, passionate about flavours and quality with an easy going nature and a "can do" attitude to work.
The ideal candidate will have several years experience in a similar busy fresh food environment as Head Chef or Senior Sous with appropriate professional qualifications and/or relevant industry experience. You will have a proven track record in kitchen management with excellent attention to hygiene & food safety, comfortable working with the hands-on owners.
Interviews will include a cooking trial
Own transport is essential due to location.
Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 relevant to experience
