Successful candidate will have experience working within a similar environment, ideally within a quality golf club.

My client is a beautiful golf course set in the beautiful undulating country side. A very popular hospitality venue for their club members and guests
Due to their continued success and growth my client are now recruiting for an experienced
Head Chef to lead their kitchen brigade.

Purpose of the role
Managing a team of 4 you will be required to cook their seasonal menu and working closely with the Deputy General Manager to ensure that they also provide the very finest specials and food for weddings, corporate and banqueting events. You will be encouraged to bring your own flare and ideas to the table! An emphasis always on impressing their customers and members.

Essential Qualifications

- At least one year’s experience as a Head Chef.
- Hold a Food, Safety & Hygiene certificate level 3.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise the kitchen staff which includes the chefs, prep cooks and Kitchen Porters
- Train kitchen staff on proper sanitation, safety, food storage and food preparation
- Responsible for making schedules for the kitchen staff
- Train staff on new processes and procedures
- Assist Deputy General Manager in the delivery of staff meetings
- Interview candidates and make recommendations for new hires
- Responsible for reviewing performance of co-workers and carrying out disciplinary action as necessary
- Maintain knowledge of local competition and general industry trends.


- Oversee the food preparation for the club kitchen and all food and beverage outlets
- Ensure that corporate standards for food quality are consistently met
- Work with the kitchen staff during banquets and catered events at the club
- Monitor and manage product yields and manage waste by the kitchen staff
- Coordinate and create special food items as assigned by Deputy General Manager, supported by all appropriate paperwork.
- Deliver all centrally produced menus to a consistently high standard.
- Responsible for controlling food costs and labour costs by estimating needs and utilizing the proper purchasing and staffing procedures
- Maintain clean, orderly refrigerators and a clean, orderly kitchen area at all times
- Order all food product and supplies, as necessary for the kitchen operations
- Meet and exceed all mandated Health Department requirements
- Ensure all compliance requirements meet Food Safety and Company Legislation

Person Specification

- Must have previous at least one year’s experience as a Head Chef
- Experience ideally within a quality golf club.
- Excellent standard of presentation.
- Excellent standard of presentation.
- Your own transport due to the location.
