Our client, a members club and popular function venue are currently looking for a motivated and passionate Head Chef. This is an exciting opportunity to join a brigade of six at this Club with popular Restaurant. The busy brasserie style restaurant and lounge provides a casual dining experience to members serving hot breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and Sunday carvery. They also cater for weddings, functions and events in their four function suites from 20-200 people so banqueting experience is essential.
The club is looking for someone to take control of the food offering, build on our two Tripadvisor Certificates of Excellence and work with the team to develop a standard that will make them famous in the local area.
As Head Chef you will report to the General Manager and work closely with your Sous Chef to lead and develop the team and ensure the kitchen delivers the highest standards of food quality and consistency so that the guests have a delicious dining experience every visit. You will be responsible for menu development, purchasing and skills growth of the team whilst ensuring a hygienic and compliant kitchen is maintained.
With a recently extended and refurbished kitchen, food & beverage sales have increased 20% in the last year, so it is an exciting time to join a team on which you can make your mark.
The Ideal Applicant:
·Two to four years kitchen management experience in a fresh food environment
·NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent
·Level 2 Food Hygiene
·Able to manage a small team
·Good standard of written and spoken English
·High standard of personal presentation
·Be reliable, hard-working and passionate
