A Head Chef role is available at a fantastic hotel located in Cumbria
Working closely with the hotel’s Executive Chef this role of Head Chef will see you take on the responsibility of running the kitchen serving the 100+ cover restaurant as well as overseeing the conference and banqueting taking place at the property. The menus in the restaurant focuses on classic British dishes prepared to one AA Rosette standards, as Head Chef you will be involved with the menu design as well as the menu costings. Although this is very much a 'hands on’ position you will also be expected to complete all necessary paperwork and ensure the kitchen performs financially through budget and GP management, wage control and controlling the kitchen costs.
An experienced Head Chef who is used to managing kitchens that are catering for large numbers in the restaurant but also has plenty of previous conference/ banqueting experience. All chefs applying for the role must be seeking a 'hands on’ role where they will their team from the front but must also have excellent kitchen management skills in order to ensure that all paperwork is kept up to date and financial targets are achieved.
