A North Yorkshire town centre hotel is recruiting for a Head Chef position
A 100+ bedroom, three star hotel has the position of Head Chef currently available at the popular property. The hotel is busy all week as it is popular with both leisure and corporate guests due to its location and the facilities. In this role you will be leading the kitchen team of eight who are catering for the restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (carvery style service in the evening). At the same time the hotel is a popular destination for conferences and events with lots of functions taking place each week with a capacity for up to 400 covers. As Head Chef you will be expected to remain 'hands on’ in the kitchen but will also have to manage all the necessary paperwork; ensure hygiene regulations are followed; control the budget and achieve your GP targets.
A Senior Sous Chef or experienced Head Chef with a similar hotel background is required to take on this position. The hotel is seeking a strong leader who can control the kitchen effectively and motivate your team to perform to the standards you expect at all times. A proven track record in achieving financial targets is essential for this role.
