A city centre hotel in North Yorkshire is currently seeking a Senior Sous Chef in the kitchen
A large, city centre, four star hotel has a Senior Sous Chef position available where you will be expected to support the Head Chef with the day to day management of the kitchen. The hotel has a 100 cover restaurant with the kitchen having full autonomy on the menus which focus on modern British dining. The property is very popular with the corporate and events market due to its excellent conference and banqueting facilities with the capacity to hold banquets for up to 400 covers. In this role of Senior Sous Chef you will be required to bring strength to the kitchen team with the ability to work across all sections but also complete kitchen admin, ensure GP targets are hit and assist in controlling the kitchen costs.
A strong Sous Chef who has a stable CV with plenty of experience gained working in corporate hotels but is looking to step up in their career is required to take on this role. A chef who has good knowledge of the day to day running of the kitchen including paperwork and financial management would be ideal.
