You will be an integral part of the base maintenance management team ensuring that the correct resources are provided to support all hangar based maintenance activity.
To take a leading role in developing the future manpower structure to ensure that the skills required for future maintenance activity are identified and effective training requirements put in place.
What you will be doing
Working with the maintenance management team you will play a leading part in reviewing the current resources available for maintenance and ensuring that effective training is in place to maximize availability of staff during hangar maintenance activities. This responsibility will extend to managing the relationship with our external suppliers and ensuring they continue to provide an effective service.
In addition to managing manpower resource you will also be responsible for ensuring a consistent approach to internal and external audits and maintenance of production bay standards across all maintenance areas.
This will require your active involvement in identifying, making recommendations and implementing revisions to all base maintenance processes and procedures. This may involve assisting in investigations and making recommendations based on the outcome as part of the base maintenance improvement process
What we are looking for
• Aviation background with experience of contractor management
• Working knowledge of Part 145 and Part M regulation
• Strong IT skills in particular in Excel and other Microsoft applications.
• Quick to analyse and provide a solution
• Knowledge/ understanding of human factors in the aviation industry
• Experience in engineering systems and environments
• Preferably worked with an ERP/MRO system (such as SAP, Oracle or AMOS).
• Ability to work on own initiative
