Location: Cullum Road, Bury St Edmunds
Salary: £14,214 pro rata per annum (£5,881 per annum pro-rata)
We are looking for a Handyperson to join our Cullum Road scheme in Bury St Edmunds. Cullum Road consists of 32 apartments, providing housing and care to people from the age of 55 with a diverse range of needs. It is our aim to provide support to enable residents to live as independently as they can in their own home for as long as possible. Cullum Road has on site care 24 hours a day.
You will be responsible for the general up keep of our facilities, manage resident's expectations, complete day to day repairs, fire alarm testing, planned and proactive maintenance programmes. You will also be responsible for some of the external areas of the scheme, maintaining grass and landscapes areas.
To be successful, you'll need to be a customer orientated handyperson who has basic knowledge of main trades, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrics. You will have a good understanding of Health & Safety. You must be an excellent communicator and have previous experience of working with supported client groups.
