Our Client is looking for a Handyperson to work for many sites within the Oxford University Campus. Reporting to the Property Services Manager, as Handyperson you will be dealing with various tasks which will include -
- Carpentry, Plumbing, and Painting & Decorating.
- Carrying out weekly checks including the testing of emergency lights, monthly flick tests, water temperature checks, fire alarm checks
- Taking meter readings
- Carrying out inspections of buildings and reporting back findings.
As Handyperson, you will ideally be qualified in carpentry skills and services, with some experience in plumbing. You will be compliant with all health and safety procedures and current legislation and gain conversance with company procedures and organisation. You will dmeonstrate excellent task planning ability and be a quick learner, able to interpret information.
The working hours will be normally work 40 hours per week, from 08.00 to 1630 Monday to Friday, with a half-hour unpaid daily break period. You will be required to work overtime on occasions which will be paid at a premium rate. You will have access to a client van or cycle, so a current driving license will be needed.
