Full time Lecturer (part-time/sessional may also be considered) in Hairdressing to work across FE and Apprenticeships
Up to £ 32,912 p.a. (Full-time salary)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for our client to appoint a dynamic and talented hairdressing lecturer to teach in their state of the art hairdressing rooms and be a part of their successful hairdressing department.
Our client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Hairdressing Lecturer who is qualified to teach Levels 1 - 3 Hairdressing and who has preferably experience in delivering across FE and apprenticeship provision. Level 1 introduces learners to the hairdressing industry and includes shampooing, blow drying and styling hair, simple hair up techniques and basic colouring techniques as well as looking at health and safety within a salon, personal presentation and career paths. Level 2 trains learners to be junior stylists and includes cutting, blow drying, setting and colouring techniques. Level 3 teaches advanced hairdressing.
Applicants should ideally have experience of assessing in this area and knowledge of the current standards and frameworks. Knowledge of the new technical qualifications would be an added bonus. Applicants should hold their A1 Award (or equivalent) and preferably hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards this).
The role will involve tutoring a group of FE students as well as teaching the theoretical and practical aspects of hairdressing courses to ensure that their learners achieve their qualifications.
