GUATEMALA : Volunteer Accountant @ Healthcare Charity - 2-4 weeks

Posted 20 February by Accounting for International Development Ended

Our partner is a community clinic that with the collaboration of health professionals, health educators, volunteers, and community leaders, offers quality and affordable health care and health education to rural, underserved communities in Guatemala.

The organisation's holistic health programmes focus on Medical and Dental services, Nutrition and a Healthy Schools Program. The programmes provide reliable and affordable local healthcare to adults and children as well as an education aimed to encourage life-long healthy habits.

The organisation requires the support of a volunteer accountant to assess whether recommendations from the first placement have been addressed and consider other areas for improved processes and controls.

Additionally, you will review their use of Quickbooks and identify any areas for improvement or missing controls. You will also assist with the annual budgeting process, ideally with the use of Quickbooks to establish a system driven budgeting process for future periods.
