Group Systems Accountant

Sheridan Maine have been appointed to assist a FTSE listed organisation based in Dorset, with a national reach and an extremely strong reputation in their prospective field, who are searching for a Group Systems Accountant to join them on a 12 - 24 month fixed term contract.

This newly created role, will work alongside the Senior Leadership team across Finance, Procurement and IT. This is a high profile role within the business, reporting into the Group Financial Controller and will be responsible for providing the main link between the Finance function and the rest of the Project team while the business undergo a significant ERP update.

Key Deliverables:
  • Ensure that the project stakeholder's expectations within the Finance Team and deliverables are managed and met
  • Ensure the deliverables of each project meets the finance stakeholders expectations and business requirements
  • To provide decisions, direction and resolve conflicts as required
  • Aid the production of improved system reports and the maintenance of current ones
  • Work closely with the finance stakeholders impacted by the process and system changes
  • Ensure relevant finance subject matter experts identify and drive best practice in their specialist area
  • Aid the production of a set of FAQ's and cheat sheets for the upgraded system
  • Aid the review and sign off of business processes
  • Identify finance project resources and secure their availability
  • Co-ordinate the finance aspect of the UAT
  • Use a wider systems knowledge to ensure that finance function gets the best out of the other systems around the business
Ideally you will be a fully Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA Accountant with a sound understanding of core finance. You will have proven experience gained from ERP systems implementations and upgrades, coupled with project management experience. This role requires significant communication and liaison at all levels across the organisation, so will suit a confident relationship builder and communicator, with the drive and enthusiasm to improve processes and systems.
