Group Reporting and Compliance Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently seeking a Qualified ACA or ACCA Accountant for a Group Reporting and Compliance Manager for a large and successful business in Chesterfield.

The main purpose of the role is to provide compliance guidance for the UK business. To ensure safe guarding of the business assets through managing internal control and business policies; responsible for developing and managing the control environment for robust, sustainable governance. Managing and prioritising group and UK finance projects and in parallel supporting the International team with US Group projects.

Reporting to the CFO and European Finance Manager, you will be a key part of the finance team primarily providing governance and reporting to Group as well as business advice and support in this area. You will also work alongside Internal Audit and external consultants as and when required in order to fulfil the duties accordingly.

The main duties will include:-

*Ensure all processes impacting the Financial statement are robust and fit for purpose; and achieve full policy adherence e.g. Tax, PAYE, accounting records etc.
*Lead on all financial process/policy creation and development - and ensure prompt and timely publishing on system with appropriate inter-departmental business communications / education
*Manage SOX in accordance with Audit Committee reporting requirements
*Ensure UK business is compliant with group policies and US GAAP
*Ensure the business meets requirements of Governmental & other regulatory bodies (CMA, Consumer credit etc)
* Financial Policy/process owner and maintainer
*External first point liaison with 3rd party legal agents
*Legal & fiscal policy and process owner

*Proactive problem solving/CI focus
*Microsoft Pro Excel and Powerpoint skills
*Interpersonal and energetic
*Operates with a collaborative and flexible style
*Strong planning and organisation skills; able to prioritise, to handle complexity and competing demands from a diverse range of stakeholders
*Prefer background in risk and control and ensuring regulatory requirements are met
*From mid Corp background (US co. or parent a bonus)
