Badenoch & Clark are currently working with a large FMCG business based in Spalding who are looking to bring in a Group Reporting Accountant due to an internal promotion. Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager the role will involve:

1Production of monthly/quarterly/annual statutory accounts for banks and bond holders for group including all required supporting analysis and ensuring that accounting policies are consistently applied
2Production of annual statutory accounts for individual operating businesses in line with the deadlines that have been agreed either for group reporting or for bank / legal reporting requirements and liaising with external auditors on a day to day basis during the audit process
3Maintaining audit packs for Finance to provide the necessary information to support the monthly management accounts
4Manage monthly capital submissions from business units and prepare capital summary for inclusion in monthly Management presentations
5Receivables financing and the completion of the bank report, workings file and key contact for the businesses
6Key contact for Cognos Controller plus maintenance in terms of new business units, reports, forms and data
7Review of new accounting standards and implementation of new standards across the group. Ensuring the group and senior management are fully briefed on new standards, their impact and their timescales for implementation
8Accounting for all financial aspects of acquisitions, restructuring and disposal of group businesses from a group perspective including fair value adjustments, calculation of profits / losses on disposals
9Supporting the CFO, Group Financial Controller, Head of Central Finance, Group Reporting Manager and Financial Controllers around the Group with adhoc analysis and assistance

Qualified Accountant - ACA or equivalent
Well-grounded in Accounting Practices with knowledge of IFRS and Consolidated Accounts. Evidence of contributing to the development of Financial controls within a business.
Prior experience of management reporting to senior management
Experience of work aspects other than audit - e.g. ad hoc projects, due diligence etc.
Able to quickly assimilate information and make recommendations for improvements.
Good communication skills and the personal credibility to establish self in the business.
Strong Excel capability
