The PHOENIX Group is a pan-European pharmaceutical wholesaling and retailing company - one of the top 5 pharmaceutical wholesalers in the world. It operates exclusively in Europe with its UK headquarters based in Runcorn, Cheshire, from where it supports a UK network of 13 Distribution Centres, over 500 retail community pharmacies and over 6,000 + staff nationwide.

This is an exciting time to join us as we embark on our transformation journey to become 'Fit4Two’ - a £2 billion turnover business by 2021. We recognise that enhancing organisational and leadership capability is a critical enabler for growth so we’re increasing our focus on providing high quality training solutions and development opportunities for our people. We have ambitious plans to improve the performance of our Distribution Centres so we are creating a dedicated technical training team to support Supply Chain. We seek four regionally based Technical Training Facilitators each covering three to four of our Distribution Centres.

Under the direction of the Technical Training Delivery Manager the successful candidate will have a real opportunity to help shape the delivery of training across our Distribution Centres and contribute to the business achieving its objectives by impacting on the performance of the staff.

Playing a key role in enhancing the current and future capability of the Distribution Centre teams you will be key to the implementation of training solutions designed to drive high performance. You will be challenged but by delivering will achieve a real sense of achievement.

With responsibility for oversight of a team of Workplace Training Champions you will quickly become part of a highly credible team which delivers improvement across our Distribution Centres.

If this sounds like the sort of challenge that you would relish and you can demonstrate the following then we look forward to receiving your application:

  • Experience of the full training cycle in an operational environment, preferably multi-site within a Distribution/Fulfilment Centre or manufacturing environment
  • Experience of converting Standard Operating Procedures / Work Instructions into training materials
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring front line staff in a busy operational environment.
  • Experience of developing training materials which enable easy knowledge transfer to a variety of audiences
  • Evidence of experience in building collaborative relationships with operational line managers and front line staff, and able to effectively communicate with and influence at these level

We would look for the successful candidate to have a formal qualification in or equivalent work experience. The role will be based at one Distribution Centre but will require extensive regional travel round the Distribution Centres in your region.
