Group HR Manager

We are currently recruiting for a self-motivated and pragmatic Group HR Manager to join our client based in Bishops Stortford.


Acting as a role model for all agreed people management practices and demonstrating best practice at all times

Managing, mentoring and coaching the Human Resources team including the implementation of individual career development and training plans

Management of the HR Department, Training and Occupational Health spend including Apprenticeship Levy funds

Responsibility for the management and promotion of the Company Apprenticeship Scheme

Building effective relationships with Management teams and participating in Senior Management team meetings

Working with the Company Directors to deliver a pro-active HR service

Developing employee engagement across the business and creating an Employer of Choice culture

Promoting the Employer Brand throughout the local community and industry

Delivering projects relating to change management, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget

Responsibility for streamlining and continually improving HR processes

Advising and coaching Managers to encourage an understanding and ownership of the management of team members

Supporting Managers to effectively select and recruit talent in line with business needs

Participating in talent management reviews and succession planning activities

Liaising with the Occupational Health Practitioner to manage capability and absence

Reporting and acting upon HR KPI information

Working with a range of Departments to contribute to ad-hoc projects as required

To perform any other task that is of a reasonable request in line with the HR department.

Successful Applicants will have;

Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development or relevant equivalent qualification

Experience in a generalist or senior HR role within an automotive or similar environment

Experience of dealing with difficult and sensitive situations in a diplomatic and professional manner

Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice

Personally Effective, excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise and delegate

Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Ability to seek out, manage and influence opportunities for continuous improvement and change

Ability to ensure that the highest standards of quality and customer care are achieved

Ability to lead the HR Team to meet multiple deadlines

Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
