Group HR Director

My client is a leading UK wide commercial vehicle organisation and they are currently looking for a Group HR Director to join their board. This is a permanent role paying a competitive OTE of up to £130,000

The main responsibilities of the role;

Key Aspects

?Define the people goals for the Imperial UK Board and the methods used to communicate, implement and achieve them.
?Leadership and direction of the business teams to develop their competency and capability and contribute to overall business success.
?By working closely with the MD's, Directors and Regional Management teams design and resource an organisation capable of meeting the varied needs and challenges.
?Lead the overall management of talent and succession cover in all locations by working closely with the business teams.
?Appoint and develop quality teams whilst also keeping a watching brief on all other key roles.
?Develop training solutions to improve employee capability
?Lead development of the people values agenda and employee brand
?Ensure effective pay and benefits programmes are managed and implemented to reward performance of existing colleagues, whilst also attracting new colleagues
?Lead the direction of the colleague communication agenda
?Manage the Imperial UK Pension Plan providers and associated activities to ensure robust governance standards are applied
?Lead the development of Imperial Group HR Systems capability; HR, Payroll, Training
?Direct, Manage and monitor the performance of 3rd party HR Service Providers and Contractors
?Maintain, Monitor and revise HR policies to ensure that they meet legal requirements
?Strategic Direction of the HSE team to minimise the associated risks, maintain good governance standards develop the culture of continuous improvement.
?Reports to the Board on matters associated with HSE risks.
?Member of the Group Executive Operational Board
?Manage the HR due diligence of business acquisitions

Key Skills to be successful;

Leadership, Team Player, Visionary, Ethical, Strategic, Commercial Focus
Graduate/CIPD Membership or equivalent
Hands-On HR Practitioner with Employee Relations, Development & Communication Skills, Knowledge of BSC/ISOH safety standards would be desirable.

Commercial Goals - Achievement of Business Plan; Turnover, RoC, and other key indices
HR Goals - Achievement of HR Goals, People P&L (Cost of Labour Turnover, Retention, Absence Levels)
Budgets - HR Costs
