Bath with 2 days WFH

Exceptional opportunity to join the Group Finance team of a leading Bath-based PLC, assisting with the preparation of the half year and year end Group financial statements and audit. An international business offering good opportunities for progression and flexibility to work from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key member of the year end and half year consolidation team, taking ownership of sections of key processes and preparing the relevant notes/disclosures.
  • Supporting the Group audit process and liaising with external auditors.
  • Assisting with the completion of the UK financial statements.
  • Drafting technical accounting papers and assessing the impact on the Group of changes in accounting standards.
  • Developing and integrating sustainability reporting in line with external requirements.
  • Preparing consolidation entries for the Group management accounts.
  • Preparation of the holding company accounts, including month end reporting, expenditure analysis, accrual calculations, variance analysis, budget and forecasts.
  • Assisting in improving the control environment of the Group.

Candidate profile

  • Degree-educated and a qualified accountant with a preference for ACA.
  • Well developed analytical skills, Excel and familiarity with financial reporting systems.
  • Good influencing skills and able to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Adept at identifying opportunities for process improvements and rolling out changes.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
