Group Data Protection Officer and Information Security Manager is required to work within a complex environment for a large organisation. This is a great opportunity to apply GDPR knowledge and Information Security skills in a hands on role within a collaborative environment. The role holder will work closely with senior management on setting the strategic direction of Data Protection and Information Security for the UK wide Business, ensuring that the necessary activities take place that will support achievement of this strategy.

The role will take responsibility for Controlling and managing the data protection framework within several large Business Unit's to ensure compliance with data protection legislation. Oversee compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation. Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Data Protection and Information security best practices. Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, and hold one of the following; CIPP(e )or ISEB qualification in data protection.

Demonstrable track record of working with senior management, internal and external peers to assess information security risk management strategies, working collaboratively and building a culture and environment where the role of the Group Risk and Compliance function is recognised as being a key support function of business performance. Excellent understanding of current and emerging issues in the data protection and information security environment. Track record of working in complex change scenarios, practical experience of the Data Protection Act. Working knowledge of ISO 27001 and good understanding of Risk methodology.
