Following a recent restructure our client, a FTSE 250 listed PLC, is looking to recruit a new Group Consolidations Manager to be based at its Central London Head Office. With legal entities across the globe this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career with a respected PLC. Responsibilities include:

  • Taking ownership of the group’s multi-currency consolidation process for both management and statutory purposes
  • Liaison with reporting entities to ensure a timely and accurate close, including resolution of issues
  • Ensure integrity and appropriate understanding / analysis of business unit submissions and overall consolidated results
  • Preparation of consolidated group accounts and schedules
  • Management of the consolidation systems including metadata, user access rights and the chart of accounts
  • Maintain systems documentation as part of a business continuity strategy

Person Specification - the successful candidate will be and have:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience with multi-currency consolidations and plc group accounts is essential
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Advanced hands-on knowledge of consolidation software, preferably Cognos Controller and TM1, and BI reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Drive and enthusiasm to ensure team succeeds in achieving fixed and demanding deadlines
  • Good technical accounting knowledge and previous IFRS experience
  • Knowledge of statutory reporting requirements
