Group Assurance Officer

Our client, a well respected and growing insurance group is looking for a Group Assurance Officer to join their Group Risk & Compliance Department. Reporting to the Group Assurance Manager the job purpose will be:

  • To provide offices with all necessary information, guidance, advice and documentation to help ensure offices are compliant with FCA and other regulatory and/or group requirements as determined by the Chief Risk Officer

  • To assist offices in the implementation of new/changed requirements

  • To act as a Risk & Compliance focal point for offices regarding day to day activities

  • To be involved in the design and delivery of compliance training

  • To carry out monitoring reviews to a professional standard including subsequent report and tracking of remedial actions

  • To take part in Group or office/business projects as required which may include establishing, drafting and implementation of key areas such as Group standards

  • To assist the Group Assurance Manager, Chief Risk Officer or others as directed in the promotion of Group standards and values

Applications are invited from candidates that have experience gained in an insurance broker environment, have been involved in field based compliance monitoring and possess good communication, relationship building and report writing skills

It should also be noted that this position can be located at any of the company's offices across England and Scotland (to include London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Norwich) but, with responsibilities over all of the group’s offices, candidates will need to have a very healthy appetite for travel!
