World class manufacturer to the motorsport and Automotive world are looking for a Manager in their grinding department to manage the resources including all staff and machinery.
You will manage and be accountable for all activities ofthe Grinding department, including CNC, Manual and Jig Grinding
To plan and manage the introduction of positive changes in the Grinding department improving performance through continuous process improvement and team building.
To ensure all delivery dates and on time delivery targets are met.
To ensure that all quality requirements are complied with and improvement targets are met.
To ensure that the department expenditure is kept within the budget.
To manage the Grinding department ensuring all staff know what is expected of them on a daily/weekly basis.
To work closely with the HR department to recruit and appoint staff as necessary and to resolve all personnel issues.
To appoint and work with department Team Leaders/Supervision.
To carry out the annual Performance Management Reviews for all staff.
To carry out probation reviews as required for new employees.
To attend Quality reviews with the Quality Manager to review scrap and reworks and issue corrective action reports.
To ensure that all machinery is properly maintained.
To provide the resource required, people and machines, to meet the delivery, quality and cost schedules.
Knowledge of CNC grinding and ability to implement changes
Ability to problem solve and develop new processes
Excellent management and team building skills.
Commitment to good housekeeping including paperwork and workshop
Will need to be able to develop excellent working relationships at all levels of the company and engage easily.
Enthusiastic and target driven who thrives in challenging environments with strong and natural leadership ability, can - do attitude, with energy and enthusiasm
