The Role

iSmash is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to support the Marketing team with design work across many multimedia platforms as well marketing campaigns. iSmash is at an exciting and pivotal point in the company’s future and we require someone who is looking to take the next step in their career. The successful Graphic Designer will take ownership of projects, using their knowledge and creative thinking to produce high quality results.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design and produce graphics according to the iSmash brand guidelines for use in digital and direct channels. Examples - OOH and print advertisements, In-store POS and digital screens, exhibition stands, social media content, etc.
  • Maintain the style, character and quality of the brand in all aspects of design by following brand guidelines
  • Support all design decisions with creative, strategic and/or business reasoning.
  • Execute creative briefs from the commercial and other departments in to refined, cohesive and compelling design solutions.
  • Work closely with appointed creative agency to develop and execute the iSmash coms strategy.
  • Own relationship with printing partners including agreeing printing specifications, placing purchase orders and negotiating costs.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects effectively and deliver well executed designs under tight timeframes.
  • Create video content / promotions for communication through social media, website and in-store digital screens.
  • Photograph events, new store launches and other content for use across all channel.
  • Events planning and management - popup stands, trade exhibitions, local marketing & conferences etc.
  • Undertake general administrative tasks and other tasks that may relate to design or digital department activities as may be appropriate from time to time.

Required Experience and Skills

  • A Graphic Design qualification is desirable
  • Previous experience in a Graphic Design role is essential
  • Commercial mind-set
  • Proficient with the Adobe CS including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects
  • Proven ability to strike an appropriate balance between design quality and output/turnaround
  • Accurate spelling, grammar, punctuation and a full command of the English language is essential
  • A confident communicator
  • Creativity and ability to engage target audiences through stand out design and content
  • Flexibility and ability to cope with multiple tasks/deadlines
  • Proven ability to strike an appropriate balance between design quality and output/turnaround
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Must to be proactive with new ideas with drive for continuous improvement
