Exciting opportunity for experienced Graphic Designer who is passionate about climate change / conservation issues to get involved (on a voluntary basis) with a newly established / start-up charity, Conservation without Borders.
They are passionate about using bold adventures and innovative story-telling techniques to bring scientists and conservationists together into powerful, focused collaborations, and get mass media, public, political and industry engagement in critical conservation issues. Their 2016 expedition 'The Flight of the Swans’ followed the migration of Bewick’s swans from Artic Russia to the UK.
They are now embarking upon another conservation media event and Guinness World Record attempt tackling climate change.
As a voluntary Graphic Designer, you need to be able to commit to around 5 hours per week and have the technology in place to be able to undertake the role from home.
They require help with a wide range of design related work including:
Creating a suite of brand tools
Laying out proposals / video graphics
It is important that you understand the potential challenges of working across political, cultural, and linguistic borders. As they work with various partners you must be happy to discuss ideas and feedback although they have noted that they have no plans to kill creativity! You must have strong InDesign and Photoshop experience. Any experience with animations would be a real bonus.
Whilst this is a voluntary role and therefore not paid, you will benefit from helping to create an engaging visual brand for an important cause and paly a critical role in an important and ground-breaking conservation project. And a key part of a highly motivated team with a challenging mission. It will also bring about invitations to team meetings and expedition fund raising and profile raising events throughout 2020/2021.
