Job Title: Graphic Designer

Location: Wimbledon

Salary: £10-£14ph

We are recruiting for a graphic designer to join our well established client's team in central Wimbledon on a temporary basis.

You will work with different designs, ranging from leaflets, periodic publications to large research documents. The design concepts must adhere to strict corporate style and branding guidelines.

Your Duties will include:

  • Under the management of the Team Co-ordinator - design and complete design processes as required within the company
  • Maintaining a strong brand identity for the company through its documents, campaign literature and all other publications
  • Promote concept of good design in all company's literature
  • Develop style templates for regular publications to ensure consistency of house style
  • Propose new design concepts where relevant
  • Ensure clear communication with colleagues, briefing sources to ensure a clear balancing of priorities
  • In consultation with the Team Co-ordinator clarify the brief with the internal client
  • Ensure thorough filing and retrieval processes for all work produced
  • Provide design for external suppliers where necessary in required formats

Experience, Knowledge and qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working in a media environment
  • Previous experience of preparing images for web graphic design and newspapers
  • Adobe Indesign/Creative Suite and Quark
  • Mac equipment and system
  • Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
  • Strong graphic design background with Adobe Indesign/Creative Suite and Quark

  • The ability to analyse the client's brief, undertake research and recommend solutions
  • To prioritise multiple tasks and activities to meet the needs of the post
  • To manage their own time effectively, in a highly pressurised environment, to meet deadlines
  • To manage information systems
  • To work without supervision and use own initiative
  • To work creatively, quickly and accurately with high attention to detail
  • To advise and contribute to the annual departmental and group planning activities to meet the company's objectives
  • To have the ability to keep knowledge and skills up to date and to respond to new ideas with appropriate training and development
  • To develop a comprehensive understanding of the manager's responsibilities
  • To develop a sound knowledge of aims, policies and organisation of the company
