Graduates wanted for SEN teaching assistant roles in Hayes

A Special Needs School based in Hayes are looking for teaching assistants with autism experience to start immediately. The school currently caters for Early Years, KS1 and KS2 classes with all children throughout the school being diagnosed with autism and some with additional learning and behavioural difficulties.

They are looking for enthusiastic graduates who are committed to delivering high quality support for children with special needs.


  • In house training on autism specific resources such as PECS, TEACCH, Makaton and Attention Autism from autism specialists
  • Working in an Ofsted rated outstanding SEN school with a strong and highly specialised team
  • Secure long term roles with permanent placements at end of the academic year dependant on feedback

Do you have experience, qualities or skills in the following?

  • Experience and/or interest in supporting children with autism, severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities or challenging behaviour
  • Experience working in a Special Need School is highly beneficial but not essential
  • Knowledge of specific visual aids such as PECS, TEACCH is highly beneficial
  • Confident in supporting children in their learning (basic maths, English and science)
  • Engaging personality, flexibility and the ability to use initiative
