Our Client, design, develops and manufactures complex electro-optical equipment for the military, aerospace, civil industrial and space markets. Due to sustained continued expansion, our Client require a highly motivated, creative and versatile individual to join their team of Technical Computing Engineers. In the role of Graduate Technical Computer Engineer you will be responsible for the design and maintenance of a suite of in-house engineering software. The role also includes installation and administration of a wide range of commercially available software packages to support their design engineering team.
Successful Applicants will be involved in all stages of the software development process for bespoke applications. This will include capturing the user requirements, creating mathematical models of physical processes and implementing a software solution for the end user. Typical applications include lens design, thin film coating design, test equipment control, CNC interfacing and measurement analysis.
We anticipate that you will have:
- A Degree in Physics or a relevant or related mathematics or engineering discipline
- Experience of developing software in a high-level programming language (e.g. C/C++, Fortran, C#, VB.NET or Java).
- Excellent understanding of physics and mathematics
A training and development plan will be created specifically for the successful applicant to enable them to deliver solutions of the highest standard.
You will be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills both written and oral, be computer literate, and able to work as part of a team.
The successful candidate will enjoy a good basic salary of between £24,131 - £27,778 (dependent upon experience) plus a benefits package that you would expect from a company that values its employees.
Relocation package will be considered for the right candidate.
