Graduate Teaching Assistant
Are you looking to become a graduate teaching assistant before starting a teacher training course? Would you like to earn money whilst gaining valuable experience before you start your training? If you answered yes, then the Teaching Personnel ‘Future Teachers' programme may be for you!
Through the ‘Future Teachers' programme, successful graduates will begin a programme as a graduate teaching assistant to gain the school-based experience and tools to be excellent teachers. Over the course of the year, graduate teaching assistants will gradually take on more responsibilities at their respective school.
Working with a range of talented teachers you will support student learning and get a first-hand insight into what is required to be a confident and capable teacher.
You will help schools with:
- Raising attainment through one-to-one and small-group intervention
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs
- Offering “in class” subject specialist support
- Assisting with planning and preparation
- Delivering Cover Supervision
There is potential to earn between £250 and £300 per week, as well as building your portfolio of experience to kick start your career in education.
Whilst working with Teaching Personnel, you will have access to a range of CPD courses and learning resources to help with your training.
