Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting bright, enthusiastic graduate teaching assistants who are local to the borough of Hackney!

We are working with a number of good and outstanding primary schools in Hackney who require high calibre, creative teaching assistants who are educated to degree level for long term roles to start ASAP. The roles involve supporting the whole class as well as children who have special education needs in a primary school setting. If you're hoping to take your first step on the teaching career ladder, this is a great opportunity. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate a passion for education and want to make a positive impact in children's lives.
The roles are primarily term time 5 day per week - hours 8.30am-4pm. The roles are to start immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year in July 2018.

About the role
The graduate teaching assistant role involves supporting children in the classroom, and you will be required to assist the class teacher with the organisation and general management of the classroom as well as supporting children 1-1 or in groups. You may also have the opportunity to assist children who have additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, Global Delay, Dyslexia, Downs Syndrome and Emotional, Behavioural and mental health difficulties.

The role requires an assertive, lively and flexible approach to work as well as superior communication skills. We are specifically looking for individuals who are able to commit to a school until the end of the academic year, July 2018. These roles can vary and as an agency we do our very best to prepare you for any role we put you forward for, aiming to match your skills and experience to a role and school that you feel happy with.

The ideal candidates don't necessarily need to be trained but you MUST be willing to learn and develop in the role as well an ability to build a positive working relationship with staff and children. Successful candidates will have access to Tradewind Recruitment's training and ongoing CPD opportunities.

The successful candidate should have/be:

*A University degree
*Have an excellent standard of written and spoken English
*Be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the children
*Lead activities for children across a range of different areas
*Be committed to raising standards
*Liaise closely with teachers, support staff, parents and the wider community
*Confident ICT skills are desired

You must have recent and a minimum of one years' experience working in primary schools. This experience must be relative to this role. If you do not have this experience, we unfortunately will not be able to continue with your application.
