Our client is a rapidly growing tax, VAT and employment law consultancy specialising in contentious tax and legal disputes.
In the tax jurisdiction they specialise in advice and representation in the areas of employment status, CIS, IR35, the Agency Legislation and other contentious tax matters.
Their client base includes accountants, construction companies, umbrella companies and employment agencies.
As a rapidly growing firm they are looking for a commercially focused, technically excellent and ambitious candidate to grow with them.
Duties and responsibilities
The role is based within the tax team and will require candidates to advise and represent clients on their areas of specialism.
The role will entail pro-actively advising clients and representing them in a robust and commercial manner.
Candidates will be required to advise clients via email, on the phone and in meetings as well as providing clients with detailed reports on the pertinent legal issues and reviewing contractual documentation.
Skills and experience
Attention to detail and the ability to apply that this to practical situations.
Likely to be university educated with a high degree of intellect and a logical, analytical thought process.
Ability to understand strategic and commercial considerations and apply them within the context of the role.
The confidence to challenge and to make recommendations both internally and externally.
A skilled communicator.
Candidates will need to be assertive, motivated and keen to succeed with the ability to understand and present the law with a keen eye for detail.
Candidates will also have a desire to represent clients in the tax tribunals with good presentation skills.
Whilst the successful candidate will have a high degree of independence they will also be required to work closely with colleagues in what is a close knit team providing a complete service to its clients.
The successful candidate will be given significant scope to enhance their skills both technically and commercially and an opportunity to flourish within an excellent working environment.
Full in-house and professional qualification training will be provided. CTA, LPC etc
