Graduate Research Scientist - MChem/MSci - Polymer Synthesis - Nanomaterials - Materials Chemistry - Perm - West Sussex - £22k-£25k + benefits

A leading manufacturer of functional coatings are currently seeking a Graduate Research Scientist to join their state of the art facility based in West Sussex. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent chemistry/materials science graduate who is keen to apply their skills into an R&D focused role and work alongside leading scientists. The Graduate Research Scientist role will provide a path to developing a successful career relevant to polymer technology.

Joining an established team of chemists and scientists, you will take responsibility across a range of functions involving research & development, synthesis of composites and testing raw materials.

*Synthesis of polymers and composite based materials.
*Formulation optimisation.
*Research and development of new and existing formulations.
*Testing raw materials using a range of wet chemical techniques.
*CVD deposition.

*It is essential to be MChem/MSci qualified in Chemistry or Material Science from a recognised leading university.
*Have studied or take a keen interest in synthetic chemistry/R&D chemistry.
*Dynamic and outgoing personality with a strong desire to succeed in a commercial research organisation.
*Must possess a self-motivated character with the ability to organise/prioritise your own work.
*Ability to communicate across all levels using various media platforms.
*Excellent written and oral communication skills.
*A full UK driving license is required.

Salary £22k-£25k + Company benefits
