The Role

The Production Engineer role will be focused upon the development of electrical/electronic test equipment, maintenance of electrical drawings in AutoCAD and the development of Shop-floor On-line MES. In supplement to this it is expected that the candidate will be involved in Lean manufacturing activities and projects, and will have responsibility for the BOM creation of a range of module types.

The candidate must be highly self motivated with the drive to be able to deliver fully documented test solutions to complex problems. They will have knowledge of driving root cause analysis when posed with a problem from manufacturing and be able to work with manufacturing teams in developing solutions to those problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development of Shop-floor On-line in Operations and be able to develop test plans within the system as part of New Product Introduction

• Raise ECOs in response to problems identified and implement solutions using AutoCAD and Agile PLM

• Creating and delivery of new module BOMs to tight deadlines

• Design, build, documentation and delivery of test equipment to manufacturing and suppliers

• Run projects to solve known issues working with stakeholders across manufacturing and Production Engineering

Skills and Experience:

The candidate will have experience as a graduate Electrical/Electronic/Production Engineer. Other key skills:

• Good written and presentational skills, with the ability to accurately & clearly communicate complex issues

• The candidate will have programming skills in Visual Basic and/or C++

• Familiarity with AutoCad Electrical is essential with exposure to Solid Edge/Works desirable

• Good skills in regard to Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent attention to detail, organised and able to prioritise their own workload

Qualifications:

Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronic/Production Engineering.
