Adept Resourcing Engineering and Technical Division are working with our established client to recruit a recent Graduate within the Mechanical or Chemical sector to join their rapidly expanding team as a Process Engineer.

The Job:

Working within the process engineering team to assist technology managers to design, build and commission hydrogen generation, storage and dispensing systems.

  • Responsible for the design of the process plant - Working to customer specifications
  • Consider technical and economic feasibility with all designs
  • Develop process design documentations
  • Responsible for identifying reliable suppliers in regards to the specifications of process plant
  • Generate process plant bill of materials including equipment, valves and instrument lists
  • Assisting the process design safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA and Action response reports
  • Developing company technical literature (such as writing operational and maintenance manuals, risk assessments and maintenance procedures)
  • Develop plant compliance documentation (such as flammable gas safety reports, pressure safety cases and specialist compliance reports)
  • Assisting group technology transfer (with tasks such as commissioning test procedures, mechanical design reviews and control design reviews)
  • Develop company technology by designing internal test apparatus and writing test apparatus operating procedures and risk assessments

The Candidate:

  • Educated to Degree level or higher (preferably Chemical or Mechanical)
  • Experience within the Chemical Engineering sector
  • Evidence of study projects in relevant areas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of the Hydrogen industry (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of compressed gases, pressure systems and Pressure Equipment (advantageous)
  • Familiar with PLCs (advantageous)
  • Familiar with Safety Integrated systems and SIL calculations (advantageous)


Remuneration:

  • £26,000 - £28,000 per annum DOE
  • Days regular role
  • Holidays, 25 days + stats
  • Very good pension
