Today, our client handles up to 15,500 moves a week with a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles and employs 1,100+ highly flexible staff and drivers across 19 locations, from South Shields to Southampton. In a rapidly changing transport landscape, This is a business focussed on meeting the needs of its clients every time.
This client operates a Graduate Traineeship Scheme for ambitious, dynamic graduates who are keen to pursue a career in transport and logistics. Training is work-based and provides an excellent grounding in the industry.
You will start your role working in the operational side of the business getting to grips with general paperwork and support, and the operational side of the business before progressing further up the career ladder. Expect to carry out some basic tasks so you have a thorough understanding of everything from bottom to top in the operation.
Training starts at 'grass roots’ level, operational requirements of the business before progressing further up the career ladder to become a fully-fledged Planner. As a Planner, you will enjoy the added bonus of a Company car.

Initial duties will involve:
- Driver debrief
- Tachograph analysis
- Resource allocation
- Damaged goods procedures
- Knowledge of legislation
- Paperwork handling
- Fuel management
- Compliance management
- Any other relevant duties

- Degree in business, logistics or economics related fields

Salary: £23,000 - £24,000 Hours: 8-6 Monday to Friday
Holiday Entitlement: Four weeks plus bank holidays, after 3 years entitlement increases by 3 days
