This secondary school in Central Birmingham area have a bespoke programme that is specifically designed to help high achieving graduates build paid experience prior to starting teacher training. - Graduate Learning Mentor
- Paid £60 - £70 a day
- Mostly KS5 Support with some KS4
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday hours
- Minimum 2:1 and strong A Levels essential
- Any transferable experience is extremely desirable
- Training and support given
- Opportunity to cover lessons to develop your own teaching style
- Interviewing mid-May for September start
- Mentoring for KS5 students who are applying to university
- Perfect PGCE preparation - opportunity to progress onto School Direct
- Central Birmingham location
This role will predominantly see you working with lower ability students across Key Stages 4 and 5 providing intervention support in a range of subjects. You will also be providing full classroom support as and when needed to support the delivery of the National Curriculum, as well as leading your own interventions to support with any additional needs the pupils have including aspects of lessons, exam preparation, homework, coursework and even university applications!
All planning and preparation will be given and this really is an opportunity to enhance your teaching skills and get paid at the same time!
You will need to be versatile, adaptable and enthusiastic graduate to work in the, with a drive to work in education. Candidates will require initiative, excellent communication skills and a good knowledge of your subject. The school are looking for a graduate who will be willing to be proactive about their own learning and development to have maximum impact within school.

You will have access to an experienced and knowledgeable mentor, who will guide you through your training and development at the school. The school is located in a fabulous location, easily accessible from Birmingham train stations and surrounding areas.
