Based in our friendly and supportive office in Lancaster city centre, you will join the team who is responsible for designing and developing Maytas, our learning management solution.
You will contribute to the software development process with your ultimate goal being to write top quality code whilst also ensuring that best practice solutions and approaches are employed.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a mature and diverse set of products that span web and mobile platforms. You will be part of a distributed product team with outposts in Australia, New Zealand and Manila as well as multiple offices in the UK.
Using aspects of Scrum methodology, we will guide you whilst you gain valuable experience in analysis, design, writing of specifications and documentation, developing testing scripts and procedures, writing and maintaining source code and providing customer support as required.
First and foremost, you will have an interest in writing high quality code. This will go hand in hand with a strong academic or vocational background and an aptitude for solving problems in an analytical and creative way.
You will have strong verbal and written communication and relationship building skills and a knack for clearly and effectively explaining things in a way that is easily understood by others.
Finally, you will be good at planning and prioritising workload whilst displaying meticulous attention to detail and have the ability to work in a time pressured and deadline driven environment.
Our team will support and mentor you whilst your skills, knowledge and experience develop. In recognition of your journey to become a fully-fledged Developer, you will receive regular increments for the first 3 years of your employment.
