Graduate IT Consultant
£23,000 per annum
Our client, established in 1995, is a fast-growing IT company specialising in the energy sector. Their product, the Energy Retail Suite (ERS) is a market-leading IT solution for energy companies in the UK. The product provides end-to-end support for electricity supply processing including pricing, quoting, metering, billing, collections and energy forecasting.
Recently, they acquired a company specialising in energy management software and services, which has enabled them to grow their revenues and extend their market into a complementary sector. As a group, they now have 90 employees based from two offices in Milton Keynes.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone to build a career as an IT professional and to be part of a dynamic and successful software development business offering a varied and challenging workload.
Thier well established graduate programme provides IT skills training as well as soft-skills training and opportunities to learn about the energy industry.
As a software development company with their own products, they provide careers in all aspects of the software development industry, including business and systems analysis, design, coding, testing, technical operations and project management.
Their staff are supported at all times in their roles, coaching and training is provided and their induction process ensures that new starters are introduced to IT, their ways of working and their systems in a structured manner. New recruits quickly gain exposure to all aspects of IT operations and learn what a role entails by doing it from day one. They encourage and fund staff to gain industry qualifications in their chosen disciplines and have a schedule of “soft skill” training which enhances their skills as well as their CVs.
They are seeking computer science or science/maths graduates with an interest in developing a career in IT.
Their ideal candidate will have a good degree in computer science or other numerate subject and be able to demonstrate a passion for IT.
Their aim is to be recognised as the leading software company in the energy sector and so they are looking for smart people to help them achieve that – intelligent, outgoing, pragmatic and hard-working individuals with a genuine interest in IT. They recruit graduates from IT and scientific disciplines and successful applicants are likely to have an outstanding academic record at A level and a good first degree from a UK university. They are looking for candidates who have had some work experience in the IT sector or who can demonstrate excellence and enthusiasm through relevant project work.
